Carolyn Ann Leimomi Costa, 77, of Hilo died Dec. 24 at home. Born in Olaa, she was retired from the insurance industry, worked for several attorneys in Honolulu and Hilo and was under the care of Hawaii Care Choices and Metro Care Hawaii. No services. She was cremated and ashes scattered at sea. Survived by husband, Wendell J. Costa of Hilo; sons, Warren J. Costa of Puna and Lee J. (Ayaka) Costa of Hilo; daughter, Lisa Ann L. (Don) Washburn of Oregon; daughter-in-law, Kehau Costa of Hilo; six grandsons, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Emily Rosita Galario, 82, of Pahoa died Jan. 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired truck driver for the former Hilo Coast Processing. Lorne Radley Hisatoshi Ito, 56, of Mountain View died Jan. 14 at home. Born in Pahala, he was an electrician. Services at a later date. Elizabeth Leinaala Leopoldino, 81, of Hilo died Jan. 8 at home. Born in Hilo, she was the retired co-founder of Leo’s Rubbish Service. Francis “Lani” Bernard Lincoln, 81, of Pahoa died Jan 9 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a driver for Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Counscil and former member of the Hakalau senior softball team. Isami Tanioka, 98, of Pahoa died Dec. 31 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kapoho, he was the retired owner-operator of Isami Tanioka Transportation and Farm Inc. and a member of Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. Private services held.
